To reserve an item here send an e-mail to catalogue@thevinylarchivist.com with the Artist, Title, and Catalogue info. It is first-come, first-served based on e-mail time stamp. You can send multiple e-mails for as many records as you want, rather than one long list. Please include your address at the end so I can calculate shipping charges as well!

Beacon Street Union – The Clown Died in Marvin Gardens | G+/VG | $4
MGM Records SE-4568 | 1968 US Pressing

Vinyl has numerous hairlines, some sleeve scuffs, and some small scratches. Plays better than it looks with some light crackle and surface noise, intermittent on the A side, but more consistent on the B side / Sleeve has edge and corner wear, some light ringwear, and a small bend with creasing at the bottom left on the reverse


Egg – The Civil Surface | VG++/VG++ | $45
Caroline C 1510 | Original UK Pressing (with EJD credit on back cover)

Vinyl has a few light hairlines with one more noticeable mark, plays with surface noise in the quieter parts and a few pops on the second side. (Caroline pressings are notoriously noisy, unfortunately) / Sleeve has some light wear overall, creasing in lower right corner, small bit of an abrasion at upper center.

Embryo – Father, Son, and Holy Ghosts | VG/VG | $100
United Artists Records – UAS 29 344 I | Original German Pressing

Vinyl has numerous hairlines and sleeve scuffs, some larger marks. Side two has a pressing defect which someone tried to remove and left some light scratches which plays with about 30 sec of light pops/clicks. Side one plays with some light surface noise in parts, side two starts with some light clicks for a minute or so, has some intermittent surface noise in parts / Sleeve has edge and corner wear, some light creasing at the edges. Large crease/bend at the upper left through to the reverse. Unlaminated.


Estructura – Mas Alla de Tu Mente | EX/VG | $35
Grabaciones Mundiales – C.A. GM-200.2421 | Second Venezuelan Pressing

Vinyl looks great with only a faint mark or two, plays with only a hint of surface noise in a few places, likely due to pressing / Sleeve seems lightly warped from very tight lamination. Has some light wear to corners and edges, faint disc impression. Crease at lower left corner. Bubbled lamination lines in places on both front and back.

 


Faust – The Faust Tapes | EX/VG | $25
Recommended Records – R.R. SIX | 1980 UK RE with screen printed sleeve

Vinyl is very nice with just a minor faint mark here or there, closer to NM, side 1 plays perfect, side two has a few ticks here or there / Sleeve has some edgewear, some creasing, disc impression. Outer sleeve is VG, split and yellowed in a few places

 


Faust – Munic & Elsewhere | NM/VG+ | $45
Recommended Records – RR^25 | Original UK Pressing

White wax appears to be NM / Sleeve has some light edgewear, small bend with crease at lower left. White Vinyl hype sticker at top right. Back has some discoloration, small tape residue at bottom right.

Vinyl is in really nice condition with just a few slight marks / Sleeve shows disc impression.

Here’s a super rare single that I decided to throw in just for fun. I’m not actually sure that I want to pass it on just yet, but make me an offer and see if I’m willing to part with it.

Atlantic ‎– SD 19277 | 1980 US Pressing, Club Edition

Vinyl has a number of sleeve scuffs and a few light marks and hairlines, plays with some intermittent surface noise and light ticks, not overwhelming / Sleeve has some light edge and corner wear, and a few light creases on the front. Reverse has some scuffs, indentations and scratches, light ringwear

 

 


Gnidrolog – Lady Lake | Sealed/NM | $50
Si-Wan Records SRML 1022 | 1995 Korean RE

Sleeve shows a faint bit of shelf wear. Deadstock from the famous Si-Wan Records of South Korea who reissued a great deal of prog albums in the 1990s. Fidelity and pressing quality is vastly superior to the cheap 4 Men with Beards RE.


Gong – Flying Teapot | VG+/VG++ | $40
Virgin – V 2002 | Later 70s RP (Green Label, EMI Pressing)

Vinyl has light hairlines and sleeve scuffs, plays well with just a bit of surface noise on side one, two pops and a bit of surface noise on side two / Sleeve has light corner wear with a few small bumps, light edge wear. With original inner


The Good Morning Spider ‎– Outergalactic | SEALED | $15

Grovjobb ‎– Landet Leverpastej | NM/NM | $25
Musicbazz – zz004 | YELLOW WAX

Unplayed, copies came unsealed direct from the label. Limited edition of 200.

One of the original retro revivals from the late 90s/early 2000s, Grovjobb brought back the Kebnekaise sound of folk influenced prog. Issued for the first time on vinyl in 2016 in great quality.

Edge and corner wear with chipping/split at top left. With printed inner

Vinyl has numerous light hairlines and some sleeve scuffs, plays with some surface noise, but not overwhelming / Sleeve has some light edge and corner wear, some light creasing at the edges, and faint ringwear

Vinyl has numerous hairlines and some light scratches, none raised. Plays with some light surface noise or crackle in parts / Sleeve has a good degree of edge and corner wear with loss, some creasing, ringwear. Has some dirt/grime/staining that didn’t come off with alcohol cleaning


King Crimson – Larks Tongues in Aspic | VG-/G+ | $10
Atlantic ‎– SD 7263 | Original US Presswell Pressing

Disc has a number of hairlines and sleeve scuffs, some light scratches, plays with some light crackle in the quieter parts, mostly on side one. Sounds a lot better than it looks / Sleeve heavily discolored with foxing and staining. Wear to corners and edges with chipping. With printed inner


Kyrie Eleison – Fountain Beyond the Sunrise | VG/VG | $65

Vinyl has some sleeve scuffs, a number of light hairlines, and a few larger marks. Side one plays well with a few faint instances of surface noise, but side two starts with about 1-2 min of crackle and light clicks, and then some light ticks here or there from some scuffs / Sleeve has edge and corner wear with some loss and light creases, 1″ seam split at top. The reverse has price stickers upper right, small bend/crease lower left, and tiny tear. With original fold out insert

Shelagh McDonald – Stargazer | VG/G++ | $200

Vinyl has numerous light hairlines and some light scuffs. Plays with the occasional pop/tick, and a bit of surface noise in a few parts, but overall plays a lot better than it looks / Sleeve is worse for wear, price sticker tear has been colored in, a large piece of tape at bottom has been ripped off with tear. General rubbing and creasing. Still perfectly intact.

 

 


Museo Rosenbach – Zarathustra | VG++/VG++ | $125

Vinyl has a few light marks on side two, otherwise great, plays almost perfect / Sleeve has some light wear, minor corner bumps.

 

 

 


Nobilis Factum – Nobilis Factum | VG/P | $30

Vinyl has numerous sleeve scuffs and harilines, plays with the occasional bit of surface noise or tick, better than it looks / Sleeve is very wavy from water damage, but almost all of the staining and discoloration is on the reverse. Some general corner and edgewear also.

Vinyl has numerous light hairlines and some larger scuffs, but these don’t affect play / Sleeve has edgewear, some light creasing.

Sleeve has the faintest disc impression. Shrink is taught, but has not warped the sleeve.

Vinyl presumed Mint / Sleeve still in shrink, though it is broken in a few places. Some edgewear from storage, and some warping to the left side of the sleeve from shrink. ~5″ seam split at top, ~1″ split on spine.

Vinyl has a number of sleeve scuffs and hairlines, some larger marks. Plays with the occasional crackle or light tick / Sleeve has light corner and edge wear, some light abrasions. Would be VG+ except for cracking at the bottom edge

Odeon ‎– 4E 154-34573/4 | Original Swedish Pressing

Discs have numerous hairlines, sleeve scuffs, some larger marks, and a small scratch on side three. Plays with some occasional crackle in the quiet parts, light pops in parts of side two. Side three plays with fairly consistent ticks/crackle, repeated clicks over scratch. Side four has some light surface noise / Sleeve has some light wear to the corners and edges, light disc impressions. Sticker residue bottom right. Printed inners.


Tangerine ‎– De L’Autre Côté De La Forêt … | VG/VG+ | $20
Crypto ‎– ZAL 6421 | 1978 2nd French Pressing (with Original 1975 Sleeve)

Vinyl has some hairlines, and a few small, non-raised scratches (mostly on the B side). Plays with a bit of noise, but still enjoyable / Sleeve has wear to edges and corners, some creases along the edges. Lamination is still in good condition with no breaks, but shows abrasions.

Not sure how these two were separated and joined together in an non-matching pair, but there you go. A great album of psyched out folk rock.

Vinyl has numerous light hairlines and sleeve scuffs, plays with some light surface noise here or there, but never overwhelming / Sleeve has edge and corner wear, some light creasing, light discoloration and ring wear. Reverse has a large scratch running down the length of the left side

Sleeve has a 2″ seam split at top, a corner bend at the top right corner, and a drill hole in the lower right. Shrink is tight, but not so much that it has visibly warped the sleeve.

Later re-titled and reissued as Ignacio

Vinyl has numerous small hairlines, sleeve scuffs, and some larger marks, plays with intermittent light ticks, not overpowering / Sleeve has edge and corner wear with loss and a few nicks. Seams previously unglued and stapled back to together, has holes and tears, but repaired now. Some creases. Lamination ends 1/2″ before opening. JEM sticker on cover, top left

Vinyl has some paper scuffs and hairlines, a few light marks. Plays with some light surface noise, occasional click / Sleeve has light ringwear, light corner wear, price sticker UR, store sticker on reverse LR. Nice and crisp with lamination intact.


Wondeur Brass – Ravir | VG++/VG++ | $8

Vinyl nice and clean with a few light hairlines and a large sleeve scuff on each side / Sleeve still in shrink with minor edge/corner wear, and some wear at opening.
